Spot Cleaning Your Hat
Never submerge your straw hat in water. Instead, use a soft, damp cloth with a mild soap to gently wipe away salt or sand. For stubborn stains on fabric hats, a soft-bristled toothbrush can help lift dirt without damaging the weave. Always air dry away from direct sunlight to prevent fibers from becoming brittle.
Reshaping After Travel
If your hat gets crushed in your suitcase, don't worry! Most of our hats can be revived with a bit of steam. Hold the hat over a steamer or a pot of boiling water for a few seconds (be careful of your hands!), gently reshape the brim or crown with your fingers, and let it dry completely on a flat surface.
Proper Storage
When the season ends, store your hat in a cool, dry place. For straw styles, we recommend storing them upside down on their crown. This prevents the weight of the hat from flattening the brim or losing its signature curve over time.
